While painting, I connected with an energy of reflection, of light and gold, shining, radiating out warmth and also clarity. This client has a goldfish pond easily seen through a window and I was inspired to bring that resonance into the interior space of the home.

This painting was created by applying paint to leaves from trees on this property and stamping them in the canvas. I then left the canvas outside in a three-day rainstorm to energetically capture the weathered heritage and history of a long-standing family home.

Millbrook Marsh
This too was donated to The Bellefonte Art Museum's annual fund raiser at Millbrook Marsh. Painted on the premises, I tried to capture the organic feel of the natural setting teeming with sun, heat, humidity and compressed mineral life budding up.
Journey of Gold
The leaves at the cabin were just becoming a brilliant yellow and fell on the canvas. Inspired by this metallic-like glow and surrounded by sky and stream, Journey of Gold came into form. This painting seemed perfect to celebrate a couple marrying in Maine during the fall foliage.

I was inspired to paint this in honor of Peter, a dear and wonderful friend facing the end of his life. Looking at a blank canvas, I had no idea what was to come, and what came was a full zest for life, an energy embracing everything around it, a wide-open joy spinning outward.
